If there is one thing I can't stand in my footwear, it is squeaking. I hate when I am walking down a super quiet sidewalk or hallway and all you can hear is "SQUEAK … SQUEAK … SQUEAK …" Ugh, I am so convinced that everyone around me can hear my shoes squeaking. I know that they probably aren't paying any attention, but that isn't the point. It's just embarrassing and annoying!
I just found a video on YouTube that taught me how to solve the problem. This may be the best shoe hack ever.
No, the solution isn't baby powder. I tried that because I saw it recommended in so many places, and it never did a thing for me. This solution ended up working so much better, and it was cheap, fast, and easy. And it turned out that it was something I already had on hand in the garage. So I didn't even need to go to the store this time to try it.
Now my shoes are no longer squeaking! I tested this out walking down a very quiet hallway, and I didn't hear a thing. It is such a relief. Now I don't have to take my shoes to the cobbler! Going to the cobbler is so expensive, so I am really glad I was able to save the money. I don't have to be embarrassed anymore! I've tried this on only one pair so far, but I am going to use it on three more later this week when I get some time. I haven't worn them in ages because of the squeaking, but they will now be back in commission!
