What do you get when you combine gummy candies with the world's favorite toy (don't quote me on that, but it must be true)? Lego bricks that won't actually cause an astounding amount of pain when you accidentally step on them!
I feel like I don't need to say much more than: here is how to make the most awesomely fantastic gummy candies ever!

Video by Grant Thompson – The king of random
You will need:
- 1 box Jell-O
- ¼ cup corn syrup
- 2 packets unflavored gelatin
- ½ cup water, very cold
- Lego molds
Start by adding the corn syrup to the water and stirring well so that all the syrup is dissolved and clear. You can then pour your mixture into a cold pot (don't turn the heat on yet), add in the gelatin and Jell-O and mix well – you need everything to be dissolved before turning on the heat. When it's ready, set the stove on a medium-low heat, and let the mixture warm up for about five to 10 minutes – make sure to stir it every now and then to avoid burning.
When your mixture is done, go ahead and pour it into your molds – carefully. This syrup is like molten lava! Then, you just need to find it in yourself to wait patiently for five hours as you let the gummies cool on the counter before you can pop them out and gasp at just how Lego-like they really are!
If you follow Grant's advice and make your own silicone mold from actual Lego bricks, you can make Lego pieces that are not only delicious to eat, but that are interlocking so that you can actually build things! I know my mom taught me never to play with my food, but come on! How cool is that!?
And if you want to add a bit of sourness to your gummies, blend up some of those chewable vitamin C tablets into a powder, and add it to the gummy syrup mixture. At least you can feel a little better about yourself when gobbling these up, since they're a little healthier too.
