When the weather turns and you start to feel that unwelcomed cold again, there really isn't anything better than cozying up on the couch reading a book or watching a movie with a nice comfy blanket to keep you warm. I don't know about you, but I always wrap it all around my legs like a body-burrito so that none of that cold air can sneak in. So when I stumbled upon a pattern for a lapghan my eyes lit up as I realized that this thing is exactly what I need for winter! But then I looked around even more and found the ultimate lapghan: a mermaid (or merman!) lapghan complete with "scales" and a tail! I just love the whimsical and fun element to something that is otherwise rather boring, albeit it very useful.
After paying way too much for a mermaid lapghan pattern and being more than just disappointed with the result, a friendly crocheter—the Mad Hooker—decided to make life easy for the rest of us and created her very own free pattern that definitely won't disappoint.
