I was so thrilled when we moved into a larger house, but there was one problem which persists to this day—a lot of empty walls.
Of course, I like to look at any challenge as an opportunity! And I really enjoy doing art projects, so over the years I have found a lot of cool wall art projects. Take this beautiful DIY wooden wall map for example, or this collection of wall photo decor ideas.
So I got very excited when I found this project to turn a shower curtain into wall art:

It might sound like an odd idea, but for me it was a perfect find. I was browsing in the department store a few months ago and I found a beautiful shower curtain. I actually remember thinking, "If only they had this print as a picture instead of as a curtain." I bought it anyway, figuring at least then I'd have it as a replacement when my current shower curtain gets too old and moldy to sue anymore.
But now I actually can put it up on my wall! And since it's so large, it is going to fill a really huge white space which has been bugging me for ages, and it will have a really dramatic, eye-catching effect. This definitely looks like more than a one-person job, but I know my husband and kids will have a blast helping me with this. I am so glad I discovered this video; I hope it inspires you to try making your own shower curtain wall art! Video by Kati Heifner.
