Liquid hand soap is great but it can be very expensive if you are used to buying your soap in bar form. You can make your own liquid soap however, and get the best of both worlds. You just have to follow this tutorial that will show you how to turn a single bar of Castile soap into an entire gallon of liquid hand soap. Incidentally, you can use other brands of soap if you want.

You just have to grate the bar of soap and then follow the directions for mixing and "cooking" it until it's done. Then you will have an entire gallon of liquid soap so you can refill those store bought soap containers yourself and with a liquid that is much, much less expensive.
If you prefer liquid soap, this is a great way to get a lot of it without spending a lot of your hard earned money and you get to know exactly what ingredients are going in to that soap. On the flipside though, you can actually make your own shampoo bars and extend the frugal living to your beautiful locks.
