It's summer time! That means time for barbecues and relaxing evenings on the veranda sipping a cold glass of lemonade. It means hiking and camping and kayaking. Unfortunately, it also means mosquitoes. And where I live, there are tons of them.
Every year it seems like I am searching for new clever ways I can ward off those stinging six-legged vermin. Last year I found out how to trap mosquitoes. I also discovered some plants I can grow to keep them away from the garden.
But this year I have finally found out how I can keep them off of me:
Ingredients:
Lemon Eucalyptus Oil – Amazon ( http://amzn.to/29KkKpZ )
Witch Hazel – Amazon ( http://amzn.to/29l0qM9 )
Vanilla Extract – Amazon ( http://amzn.to/29t3N7x )
Extra: Empty Spray Bottle – Amazon ( http://amzn.to/29mXpsC )
Directions:
Mix 30 drops of lemon oil with 1 tbsp of vanilla extract and 4 Ounces Witch Hazel (or rubbing alcohol, cooking oil, vodka).
Utilizing all natural essential oils that have been determined by the US Government to be as effective as DEET, you can easily and naturally end the plague of mosquitoes!
I can't stand commercial bug spray. If you ever look on the back of one of the cans, you will seriously be horrified at the list of ingredients. I don't want to put those nasty chemicals on my skin. I also can't stand the way the stuff feels and smells.
But now I can toss out my old bug spray forever. The recipe in this video is so simple. All you need are a few common household ingredients. Well, I had to buy the essential oil, but that was easy enough. Everything else was already handy. You just mix it together and spray it on your skin, and you're all set to go. I've already given it a trial run, and it worked awesomely, arguably even better than the commercial stuff. And thanks to the eucalyptus oil, it smells fantastic. This summer is going to be the best one ever—no more mosquitoes at my barbecues and camping trips!
