How to Make This Easy DIY Rustic Floor Mirror With Only Basic Tools

How to Make This Easy DIY Rustic Floor Mirror With Only Basic Tools {Video tutorial}
The other day, I came home to find my son with a very guilty look on his face … and when I got into the living room, there were shards of glass all over the floor. Yep—he had destroyed the mirror. How? Who knows? He still hasn't fessed up. That's kids for you.

Anyway, obviously I have to replace it. So I started out by going to the department store, but I didn't find anything I like. Either everything was the wrong dimensions to fit where I need it, or it just wasn't going to work with my decor.

Then I thought about projects we've posted on the site in the past. I remembered the tile mirror, but of course that goes better in the bathroom. And then I got to thinking maybe something involving woodworking would be good, like a reclaimed wood project.

I did some research on YouTube and eventually I found the perfect project:

This is a very simple woodworking project. You do need a few tools to do it and some space, but there is nothing very complicated here. The finished mirror has a lovely rustic look about it which will fit in nicely with my decor and really add something to the hallway. It is going to take some time … so hopefully my son won't break this one too. I'm choosing to look at the bright side here; this will be a great upgrade to my home! Tutorial by homesteadonomics.
