How to Make Potato Chips In The Microwave in Just a Few Minutes

How to Make Potato Chips In The Microwave in Just a Few Minutes
There is nothing better than cooking in the microwave. It's fast and easy and it keeps dishes and cleaning up afterwards to an absolute minimum. I regularly look up microwave recipes for delicious snacks like a quick quiche or candied bacon. Today I found a new exciting recipe for the microwave: homemade potato chips!

This is exciting for a couple of reasons. First of all, it's yet another easy microwave recipe, and it only requires a few simple ingredients: a potato, some salt, and some olive oil. You do of course need a microwave-safe plate to make these. You also need a grater so you can thinly slice the potatoes.

But this recipe is also exciting because it is a healthy alternative to the potato chips you buy at the store, which often include a lot of weird additives and you can use Coconut oil. There are sometimes healthier options, but of course they typically cost more. Other brilliant food hacks here.

Making these chips is ridiculously simple. You just spread some olive oil on the plate, slice up the potatoes thinly, and distribute them around on the plate. Add a dash of salt and pop them in the microwave for three minutes. Take them out, and voila, you have homemade potato chips!

So now the next time you have a craving for potato chips but you don't have time to go to the store, check to see if you have a potato on hand. If you have a potato, salt, olive oil and a plate and a microwave, you can have potato chips anytime you want!
