Do you ever buy an item of furniture purely because you need it—or because you like its style at the time—but as the years go by, you find yourself experiencing some buyer's remorse because you just don't like how it looks? That happens to me anytime I buy something dully practical. At the time, I am just looking for a fast solution. But then I find myself wishing I'd bought something prettier.
But you don't necessarily want to replace something functional outright. It'd be a waste of money, and plus, I get attached to things, even if I don't like everything about them.
That's why I enjoy DIY furniture makeover projects! You can check out dozens of them here, and one of my favorites to transform a dresser here.
Now I have found another by Ann Lee that has knocked my socks off:
Watch this video to find out how a boring white desk from IKEA was transformed into something truly stunning. The end result has this classy style to it that's a little less contemporary—very refined and elegant with just a touch of color and warmth. It's beyond beautiful. If I just saw the "after" image without knowing what the desk looked like before, I never would have guessed that this was a DIY. It looks like she bought it from the store like that.
Now I'm feeling inspired and I'm going to go start planning my next DIY furniture makeover project. I hope that you are feeling inspired too, and enjoyed this video as much as I did!
