Last year we featured a project which taught you how to make a hot glue gun out of a tin can. It's a pretty cool project, but you can actually pick up a basic hot glue gun for just a few dollars at a craft store, and I highly recommend doing so if you haven't. There are so many amazing hot glue craft projects to try—you'll find a list of 40 here which will keep you busy on many rainy weekend afternoons.
But did you know that a hot glue gun has a lot of other uses around the home which aren't necessarily related to craft or hardware projects? So even if you're not huge into crafting, a hot glue gun can come in handy around the house.

While most of the hacks focus on using the hot glue gun to solve various problems, there is also a hack at the beginning which makes it a LOT easier to use the hot glue gun itself.
Another hack I love is the one at 1:04, where you learn how to make a doorstop using hot glue, a cap from a plastic bottle, and a bit of tape. What a cheap, brilliant solution to a tedious problem!
