These hacks are awesome for sparing some cash on everyday necessities like food and bills so that you have more to spend on your craft supplies or whatever it is that you really love.

1. Vacuum Seal Your Own Food
Vacuum sealing is a great way to store food safely, especially when you don't want to pass up a bulk deal at the supermarket. You don't need an expensive machine for this, though, simply fill up half of your sink with water, put the food in a Ziploc bag, but only close it about three-quarters of the way. Place the bag under the water, and while keeping the opening of the bag above water, use that water pressure to get all the air out before closing it up completely.
2. Replace a Battery with a Screw
This sounds kind of crazy but it's pure genius. You only really need one battery to power a two-battery remote, so pop in the battery and then just find a screw or bolt in the appropriate size to place in the second battery compartment. This will complete the circuit and save you on the cost of batteries.
3. Save on Water Bill
Flushing your toilet wastes a lot of water, and you really don't always need to use so much water per flush. Fill up a one liter plastic bottle with water and put it in the cistern or tank of your toilet. This displaces the water so that every time you flush, the tank won't be filled to the top again, thus saving you one liter or water per flush.
4. Share Internet
If you're not a heavy online gamer or streamer, consider sharing your wifi with a neighbor. Instead of two bills, you can both use the same password and split the bill in half. Just do some research to determine that you both use about the same rough average.
5. Make Your own Febreeze
When you want to give your clothes a good smell you spray some Febreeze, right? Well you can save on that by making your own. Simply combine warm water, baking soda and fabric softener in a spray bottle, shake it up and you're good to go!
6. Make Your own Eco-Friendly House Cleaner
You don't always need or want harsh chemicals when it comes to common cleaning round the house and kitchen especially. A simple concoction of baking soda, dish soap, vinegar and warm water in a spray bottle will do the trick.
7. Reduce Your Power Bill with Light Bulbs
When it comes to light bulbs, people usually buy the cheaper option, which are incandescent bulbs. LED bulbs, however, are energy efficient and will cost you about 10 times less than the incandescent in term of power usage. So dish out a bit more initially so that you can save much, much more in the long run.
