There are few things in life that are quite as peaceful, calming and awe-inspiring as taking a moment to gaze at the stars up above on a clear night. One ingenious knitter has managed to capture exactly that in a gorgeous, wearable garment. She's combined two different patterns to create this impressive celestial shawl – a shawl that accurately maps out the stars as they are seen from the North Pole. Luckily for us, her husband was wise enough to post a picture on Reddit; after a showering of compliments, questions and wonder, we got the links for the two adapted patterns.
She used this pattern (7$) for the Celestarium, and instead of leaving holes for the stars, used crystal beads for an added starry effect (over 350 of them!). For the beautiful edging she used this pattern (6$); it really finishes it off perfectly and gives it a delicate touch. Apparently, it is not quite as difficult as it looks, and we're sure that once you get started you'll be itching to get it done so that you can show off your cozy creation as you wrap yourself up in the beautiful night's sky.
