FREE Crochet Pattern: Gorgeous Irish lace Scarf with Roses

FREE Crochet Pattern: Gorgeous Irish lace Scarf with Roses
This beautiful scarf is much more than a mere scarf: it's a bold statement piece that's actually more of a wrap than a scarf; one that is bound to attract a lot of attention and compliments! The FREE pattern isn't all that difficult to follow, but it will take a bit longer to complete than your regular crocheted scarves. What we really love about this piece is that despite its chunky stitching, the roses and leaves still give it a delicate, feminine touch.

It's important that you follow the pattern instructions carefully and use the right sized hook to pull this one off, but if you're a seasoned crocheter then you can make some alterations. If you want to really show off all the detailed handiwork and don't want the scarf to simply hang over you, you could add in buttons or fasten it at the bottom or middle so that it really acts more as a body wrap. You can also decrease the number of roses depending on how it looks on your body (if you have a small frame, for example, you may want a little less so that it doesn't swallow you up), or make the leaves in varying sizes. Also, don't be afraid to play with color if that's your thing!

Good luck, and enjoy all the wonderful comments you'll get when you go out wearing this striking scarf. It's so much more satisfying to be able to say that you made it yourself.
