DIY projects using pallets have been popping up more and more over the past few months. It just goes to show what a fantastically versatile medium a pallet really is, so we should definitely strive to use them more often in our home projects. This next one I found is a truly awesome table; it can be used as a coffee table in your living room or even as an outside table if you have a nice porch or garden.
There are two features that really attracted me to this project: a lot of storage space and a really cool and easy lifting mechanism to get to your storage. And as long as you use the right tools and mechanism, sliding and lifting the top section is a piece of cake – you don't have to huff and puff to get the thing open.

Personally, I'm a fan of the natural wood color, but since it's practically a blank canvas, you can paint or varnish it however you want depending on whether you want it to stand out or blend in with the rest of your home.
