1. Eight Day Walk With Christ

Eight Day Walk With Christ
If you want your children to experience Easter in a more traditionally religious fashion, this eight day walk is perfect. Each day your family members will open a plastic egg and an envelope, which lead them through the last week of Jesus' life. You can put pieces of the Easter story or scriptures in the envelope and even add candies to the eggs to make it more exciting for younger children.

2. Easter Chick Cupcakes

Easter Chick Cupcakes
These little chick cupcakes are almost too adorable to eat – but they're also delicious so eat away! You just make regular cupcakes and then dip in yellow sanding sugar. Then add chocolate chips for eyes and pipe on the rest of the face and wings. They're really easy and will instantly become a family favorite. They're also great for Easter parties at school.

3. Confetti Eggs

Confetti Eggs
Confetti eggs are fun for the entire family. You use real eggs, which you empty – and this is a delicate but really easy step. Then dye your eggs and fill them with confetti. Finally, you cover the whole with a piece of tissue paper and let it dry. Only you will know that these aren't really hard boiled and decorated Easter eggs and it will be so much fun watching people crack and open them with the confetti falling out.

4. Easter Tree Tradition

Easter Tree Tradition
Easter trees are a huge tradition in my family. I love decorating my Easter tree almost as much as I do my Christmas tree. You can buy Easter trees and decorations at the Dollar Store for just a few dollars, or make one yourself. Just find a branch, paint it white – or pink if you prefer – and then add decorations. You can even DIY your decorations, and kids are going to love helping to decorate the tree.

5. Easter Bingo

Easter Bingo
This is a really fun Easter game that kids of all ages are sure to love playing. Print off the game board and then use jelly beans or robin eggs to play. It's so much fun and a wonderful way for little ones to wear themselves out the night before Easter so they'll go to bed early.

6. Easter Bunny Footprints

Easter Bunny Footprints
I saw something similar to this for Christmas – with Santa's footprints – and this Easter bunny version is just too cute. Little ones will adore waking up to this magical surprise on Easter morning and it only takes a few minutes for you to make them. The footprints are made from flour or powdered sugar, so they are easy to clean up after all the excitement has died down. Imagine the faces of your little ones when they see tracks left by Mr. Easter Bunny himself!

8. Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt

Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt
What's more fun than a scavenger hunt? Kids, particularly older kids, are really going to love this game. You can do so many different versions, like the Bible verse one here, and customize the game depending on where you live, weather, and any number of other things. If the weather is bad, create a hunt that they can do indoors and you can even do a less complicated scavenger hunt for younger children.

9. Resurrection Rolls

Resurrection Rolls
Resurrection rolls are a popular dessert choice for the Easter season. The rolls are coated in cinnamon sugar and have a melted marshmallow inside. Kids help to make them, putting in the marshmallow but when they come out of the oven, the marshmallow is gone, much like it has been resurrected. Many families make these rolls together which opens up the opportunity to discuss the resurrection in a Biblical sense. Plus, the rolls are really delicious.

These Italian styled Easter breads are fabulous. I've always wanted to make these around Easter. They're so pretty to look at and such a decorative food! These little single versions of the traditional Easter bread are perfect for your Easter dinner table and each one holds its own little colored egg. The sprinkles really make them stand out, although you could leave those out if you wanted. They're gorgeous breads either way.

13. Magical Jelly Bean Garden

Magical Jelly Bean Garden
Little ones are going to be so excited to plant their magical jelly beans and see what grows. This is a wonderful tradition for families and all you have to do is "plant" jelly beans in your garden or yard. Come back a while later to see which ones have bloomed – in the meantime, you're going to stick a treat in the ground and let the kids know that these grew from their magical jelly beans. I love this idea!

14. Easter Bunny Family

Easter Bunny Family
Make this amazing Easter bunny family and use them to decorate for the holiday. This is a great project for toddlers and is so very easy. Let each child make his own bunny or his own little family. So, you make a gingerbread house on Christmas, right? What else would you make for Easter except this adorable graham cracker Peeps house? These are so adorable and kids can customize their own with sprinkles and other decorations.

these with adult supervision since they do get hot when melting. They're perfect for an after dinner snack or anytime you want to bring in a bit of Easter excitement.

Ham And Cheese Pockets – Hot Pockets Mimic That’s Better Than The Original

My kids absolutely love Hot Pockets. Seriously, they would eat them every day, which is fine but those things can get really expensive. You can imagine how happy I was to come across this recipe for ham and cheese pockets, which is basically Hot Pockets, but they're homemade. Any time I can give my family homemade makes me happy and I really do love these little pockets.

Ham And Cheese Pockets – Hot Pockets Mimic That's Better Than The Original
When you feed your family homemade, even homemade snack foods, you know what they're eating. These are made completely from scratch, right down to the dough, so you can ensure that you are feeding your family something that is fresh and good for them as opposed to something that is filled with preservatives. Plus, these taste even better than Hot Pockets! And if you really want to make your kids happy, follow them up with these Nutella and banana stuffed pastry rolls. They're always a huge hit at my house.

So, these little pockets are great for an after school snack or even a quick lunch. They would even be a great addition to your "appetizer night." You have that right? Where you serve appetizers for dinner? My family does this about every other week and we always choose a great movie to go along with our appetizers. I've made these crunchy parmesan garlic baked potatoes for appetizer night and now we've added ham and cheese pockets.

So, if your kids love Hot Pockets but you want to make sure that what they are eating is actually freshly prepared and good for them, these ham and cheese pockets are perfect. It takes just over an hour to make them from start to finish and they bake up so golden brown and delicious!

Seriously, I may never buy Hot Pockets in the store again.
